I have had the privilege of visiting UC Berkeley's Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry and Vision Science many times, where I have always received a warm welcome from Dean and Professor John G. Flanagan and his exceptional faculty. As the eighth and inaugural Dean, Professor Flanagan has been instrumental in upholding the school's reputation as one of the finest optometry schools in the USA. Each visit has deepened my admiration for this institution, where cutting-edge research and a commitment to excellence create an inspiring environment for both students and professionals. I truly love this place and the remarkable community it fosters.
